So what's the next best thing for about the same price?

I've been very happy with my AST/swift/Vorschlag setup.
Just wanted to add that the ASTs really shined today on some rough road. I knew they went way stiff for smooth roads but today I softened them up for some serious backroad fun. Three clicks down from my normal settings and they ATE UP the pavement on East Carmel Valley Rd. Very supple, even with my high spring rates. Great grip, supple ride, very happy! Got into Monterey and a 6 series convertible, mean mugging me from my left at an intersection, pealed out across the intersection and tried to make the turn and crashed! Crazy!

Are KW Clubsport long in the tooth now? Good price at Turner.

Sorry guys, I've tried contacting multiple times and I'm getting nowhere. To be honest I've kind of lost patience with it and I apologize for not being as diligent as I was originally. I started by calling every week, then every two weeks, then once a month.
If anyone wants to take over this project let me know and I'll give you all the contact information I have. We did have a car go down for a test fitting, since then it's been radio silence...

So I just called in and Chris picked up within a few seconds. I asked him about the status of this project for the Z4M and he was hesitant at first, saying that they had some internal changes recently (old employees leaving the company perhaps?) and that projects like ours were put on hold. Not to mention, he says he was trying to get quotes for some parts for our specific kit and that it just never materialized to anything.
I threatened to dump money at him, stating that I personally am ready to invest in their very first full kit, paid in full if it would help get things going. I also mentioned the fact that I'm sure some others on this forum are also eagerly waiting and willing to purchase as soon as the kit is released. His voice suddenly changed, and he asked for my personal information, as I mentioned I wouldn't mind helping them develop the kit further if need be. All in all, TLDR version: the project is still alive and kicking. We just need to hold out longer. How much longer? Who knows But I really want to see this through since my suspension is about ready to be refreshed anyway. |

Having seen some of their stuff, this is a kit I'd like to have. I hope they actually put their minds to doing something for us.

You should get his email address and link him to this thread so he can see first hand the interest. I've been lurking and would be interested if things move forward.

Any updates here? Given the apparent consensus that this would be the best R&T setup available for the 'coupe, I'd be willing to pay up-front to help grease the wheels. I do worry that their hesitancy implies they will cut corners on the development process if we are having to push so hard externally to make it happen.

The contact is Christer (Chris) Lööw - Product Manager
He can be reached at: 828-692-4525 ext 317 I have not heard at all from him, but you guys are more than welcome to try calling as well and giving him more kicks in the butt. I know of four people now that are willing to pay in full if they can finish our kits. |
