FS:2007 BMW Z4 3.0si Coupe-Montego/Black-50k miles/San Diego CA
Sold to Carmax the morning of 9/17/12. In the five hours since I've had three promising local inquiries. Dammit! EDIT: Final bump and a price drop. $21,000 firm. Next Monday it goes to Carmax for peanuts. EDIT: The car is running in Roundel this month and I'm gonna display it at a SD autocross. These are my last ditch efforts before I take it to Carmax. I'd like to see this car go to an enthusiast so badly that I'm going to offer airfare to come pick it up. I'll be using miles so there may be some limitations but most major airports are an option. I'm confident enough in my description and pictures that I don't think anyone will be disappointed. 2007 BMW Z4 3.0si Coupe-Montego/Black-49.8k miles/San Diego CA General: 2007 BMW Z4 3.0si Coupe Montego Blue / Black M Leather & Carbonweave 49,800mi VIN: 4USDU53407LV34426 navigation, heated seats, premium sound, homelink, bluetooth, iPod connection I have owned this Z4 Coupe since August 2010. I am the third owner. The first owner lived in the San Francisco, the second was located in Alaska. Both meticulously maintained the car as have I. The car is essentially stock with the exception of the wheels and the interior. The only reason I am selling is because I have upgraded to an M Coupe. My goal with this ad is to be completely thorough and up front about everything with this car to make the sale process as smooth and enjoyable as possible for myself and the buyer. Body & Paint: To my knowledge the car has never been in an accident. I did have a couple of very minor dings removed with PDR late last year. This car has always been stored indoors and covered. The cover will be included with the sale. The body shop that did the PDR late last year advised that some portions of the car do not have original paint. However, all paint matches perfectly and looks excellent. The second owner used the car lightly in Alaska so I believe it has more rock chips than average on the front bumper, hood, and rear portion of the side skirts. There are also a couple chips on the roof and A pillars. The front bumper has some scraping from steep driveway entries. One scratch on the lower portion of the trunk, one scratch on the top of the rear bumper. There is also a rub mark on the passenger side corner of the front bumper. It has been touched up and looks very good. All imperfections are minor and have been photographed. All existed when I purchased the car and I was told the car was perfect with no appreciable paint issues. I was a bit disappointed that the seller wasn’t more forthcoming so, for this reason, I’ve been very thorough despite these imperfections being minor. The car was Opticoated several months ago at a cost of $575. Here is a link to more information on this in case you’re unfamiliar with the process: http://www.5pointdetail.com/Site/Opti-Coat.html. I have all my cars Opticoated and think its money well spent. Cleanup is a breeze and it makes the car look amazing. This car, depending on the amount of use it sees from its new owner, should see at least three years of servicablility from this coating. I have a receipt for this work if necessary. Note: I will probably not be including the RHO front plate mount as long as it fits my new M Coupe. Glass: The windshield is a bit “peppered”, again most likely from the time it spent in Alaska. There is also a very small star crack several inches above the bottom, dead center. When I spoke with the original owner he said that it happened a couple of weeks after he purchased the car and that it has not spread since. Neither of these issues affect visibility and I never really considered replacing the windshield because I figured with my lucked I’d get another chip immediately. All other glass and mirrors are perfect. See photos. Wheels & Tires: Car comes with 19” staggered VMR V710s which fit perfectly with absolutely no rubbing, ever. There is no rim protection with the Falken 452 tires that are on it so the rear wheels do have some rock chips around the edges. The front right wheel, and both rears have been VERY LIGHTLY curbed. I’ve included photos of the damage. The tires have plenty of tread left, having only covered about 4000 miles and being used during one afternoon of autocross. Included with these wheels is a set of chrome lug bolts and chrome wheel locks, TPMS, and center caps with a silver ring. Interior: The car comes with M Coupe Black leather and Carbonweave dash trim. The seats, door panels, and dash trim were transfered. All are in excellent condition. Also included is a set of LeatherZ door and console armrests. The drivers side door handle (aluminum/plastic portion) has three small imperfections that I photographed. They are very minor. Also, the shift knob has a small scratch which I wasn’t able to get a to show in a photo. Mechanical: There are no mechanical, electrical, or functionality issues of any sort with this vehicle due to the fact that all three owners have been BMW CCA members and enthusiasts. La Jolla Independent (Bimmerdoc) did a PPI on the car yesterday and gave it a clean bill of health. Not throwing any codes. They recommended brake service in about 8-10,000 miles. Any prospective buyer is welcome to call La Jolla Independent with any questions concerning the car and I can furnish the receipt for the PPI. I am asking $21,000. I feel this is a fair price but am willing to hear reasonable offers. The car is currently located in San Diego, CA. I will be happy to assist with shipping and may even be able to deliver on the west coast for the cost of gas and lodging one way. I can be reached via PM or email at itdnwiwbp@gmail.com. I do prefer email as I am more likely to respond in a timely fashion. Last edited by itdnwiwbp; 09-17-2012 at 05:35 PM.. Reason: bimmerforums link delete |

1. Small scrape on passenger front corner that has been touched up. Barely visible in the pic. Barely visible in person.
2. Shift boot no longer available. Please note that all imperfections are very minor. They were all present when I purchased the car and I was told that it had no appreciable paint flaws. Last edited by itdnwiwbp; 09-10-2012 at 10:40 AM.. |
