2008 Z4 (erratic intermittent wiper)

Has anybody noticed that your little click wheel on the right steering wheel stock that controls the intermittent wiper settings seems to have a mind of its own? Sometimes it works, sometimes I have to flick the wipers off and on, sometimes the timing of the wiper changes even though I haven't turned the wheel any? The low and high settings of the wipers always work as intended...

Maybe you didn't know they were rain sensing?
The wheel is supposed to set the sensitivity, but mine doesn't seem to have much effect.

Same here. I would rather they just stick with traditional intermittent wipers with variable inverval control on the stick.

That's actually possible, for anyone that isn't aware. Any shop with ISID or whatever software they are using these days can program that, it's a standard checklist item. First day I owned my coupe I had it in my buddy's shop and had him program the car how I liked it.

Eg:
no rain sensing wipers, standard intermittent with delay set by the wheel on the stalk
Seat memory syncs on unlock instead of when locking
Headlight sensitivity for auto mode
Alarm chirp and the light flash
Home-safe wtf-ever, where you can toggle the lowbeams on for a time when you exit the car

Theres a huge list of items to customize, it does take a while to do so most shops will charge unless your car is already connected for a normal code read, reset, etc
