Electric Steering Coding

Supposedly the sport button affects both throttle and steering for N52's. Anyone know if it's possible to code increased steering resistance so you don't have to press the sport button? Essentially I want the sport button steering benefit without the touchy throttle.

When I purchased my 2004 back in the day., on pick up they asked what kind of feedback I wanted at the steering wheel. High, medium, low. I have no idea which setting this was done on.

I've thought of trying to code the change in throttle response out of sport mode. That way you have two modes of steering without the touchy throttle. I'd love to know if there's a way to do it.

What don't you guys like about the touchy throttle? When I forget to turn it on it feels like a dog to me - I guess maybe I am used to it because I always turn it on maybe?

It makes shifting a little harder to control if you're not going WOT. Somewhat jerky shifts are not cool when you're just trying to get from point A to point B.

Got it - that makes sense. I'll have to try some non-sport trips to see if it smoothes me out....... =)

Touchy throttle upsets car, which sucks on track when you're trying to focus on smoothness

I actually left it off on my road trip yesterday which had a lot of in town driving.....I think I see what you guys are talking about. Little smoother through the gears it seems.
