You can also just buy the disc from bmw, it's less than 10 bucks. There's even a thread on this forum with a download link.

First off thank you for posting the iso. For everybody here, the update works like a dream.

I can readily see that it updated from my splash screen. But I cannot get any of the functionality that bmwnavi.eu shows on the settings screen like night mode. Have you been able to get night mode? Or does it require an updated map DVD? Did any instructions come with the CD?

Just a quick FYI. V32 was the last official release from BMW. Any of the incremental releases beyond that are third party tweaks/hacks/modifications.

I'm all for tweaking the firmware to improve functionality, but want to make sure people know these updates don't have a pedigree. It wasn't obvious from the initial discussions.

I got all the firmware I needed from this site http://www.dvdnav.com or http://www.bmwnavigation.co.uk

I got full postcode, night mode, 3d, redlights, alerts, POIs, speedcams. all working perfect!!
and he gives the software cd free if you buy the map dvd

Also theres a few videos on hidden menus . and Manuals so a good bookmark at least

I bought this week the 2012 north america navigation dvd from the dealer ($199) however I installed the dvd in my BMW X5 4.8i (E70) 2009 model and is almost as same as the 2011 dvd. Does some one the BMW Navigation Firmware v32.2 Update; my email is jrojedarios@yahoo.com.

So people keep saying this cd can be bought at the dealer for 10 bucks but nobody posts a part number and the parts department has no idea what to get ...... Can anybody shed some light on this ?

The version 25 CD was P/N 01 59 0 141 891, they should be abel to get it from that.

So are firmware updates to NAV not something the dealer normally does or we have to request this? Easy way to check what firmware version we are running? Last official bmw USA NAV firmware version?

I was actually thinking that for $199 the NAV css included firmware updates, guess not.

A dealer will not update the Nav firmware unless you report a problem or request it, then they will charge, probably 1Hr labour.

Firmware version is displayed in the top right corner of the Settings menu, X-1/YY where X is the Nav type (1,2,3,4) and YY is 10 times the software version, so 70 is 7.0.

The latest official software is V10.0 (displayed as 4-1/00) and comes on the V31 and V32 CD.

OK so I found what claims to be the (havent tried it yet) firmware ISO online. It was hosted on a foreign server so my question is.... All firmware versions the same or do they differ from USA to non USA?
