RPI ram air scoops new found POWER!!! FTW!

As you all know RPI developed the ram air scoops and Eloy and I tested it back and forth (real world and dyno testing)and bottom line it really works...RPI has a great rep from the car forums especially the M community and that's one of the reason i like going to them is they don't BS around, if it does not work or produce POWER then they'll call it as it is ( no run around ), they back it up with real world and DYNO #'s...I will let Eloy make the announcement on the NEW PRODUCT and hope he'll do a grp buy package for this new found POWER!!! ...let's just say i am very excited and can't wait to do more testing ( some real world pulls against a MODDED NA Z4M , so if someone is interested pls pm me i will be free tomorrow j/k or if you want to test drive the car )...I am sure you guys will be happy aswell

Are you announcing a new RPI product, or just letting us know how happy you are with the scoop you told us all about 4 months ago.

LOL... i got carried away ok here's my observation so far...

1. There is definitely HP/ TQ gain that really compliments the RPI ram air scoops , RPI has the dyno result

2. The car drives smoothly with or with the sport mode on and no more bunny hop

3. I notice a better a miles per gallon but not yet sure as i am still testing it...

4. Better throttle response, good for track i'm sure

5. The car feels quicker and RPI has the dyno results on their DYNO DYNAMICS to prove that i'm not hallucinating

6. Lastly If you mod your car to loose power this is not the mode for you j/k

For the newer DME's tuners need the info from your stock ecu to do a flash. Also in some cases due to changes BMW has made to the circuit board on some cars there is work that sometimes needs to be done to the actual ECU. This is why most tuners require having the ECU removed from the car and sent to them.

A package that has software tuned for the scoop should be very cool Laidback I have a question on the software I dont see any software products on RPI's website for any of the cars they make products for or any history of softwware from this company do you know who is writing this software for them ?

Not sure, Eloy has been working on this software with another company for quite sometime now and he was suppose to launch it last Bimmerfest but i got too busy and wasn't able to bring in my car (so sorry Eloy ) but we finally got the schedule straight and the tune done and dynoe'd it yesterday, so it's not yet out on their website...the gains we had were pretty significant and without much software re learning, no rest in between and with the hood closed (as you know Eloy is pretty strict on dyno and wants to make sure we get hp/ tq with these condition, i was really impress and the gf really likes it as it's much more driveable than stock but packs alot of power...I'll ask Eloy more about the tune and i'm sure he'll chime in

I stopped by laidback's place today since I was in the area, he was in the middle of detailing a car when I got there. He took a break and wanted to show me the new toys he got the for the M-Coupe aka (Torque Monster) as I called it.

AND YES, this thing is a Torque Monster. Holy crap folks, this thing flies. NO EFFIN JOKE. It was a nice warm out the fwy to get the oil heated up, then we turned around and boy WOT on the 10 fwy. Even at fifth gear cruising speed the car had torque. Laidback got the car going to 120-130mph at no time. Car is super smooth.

I don't like going in these test drives, make me feel bad when I go back to my car. lol

ESS does have software. RPI is doing software also and will most likely package it with the air scoop they sell.

Sorry for the late reply guys. Its been one heck of a weekend. This package is called our stage 1 package. You can expect a 22whp+ gain from our ram air and software package. For several months now, we have been working with Power Chip to develop the perfect tune package to go along with our ram air kits. Please note, this tune is designed FOR the ram air scoop. The air fuel ratios, ignition timing, etc. are all set based on airflow gained from the scoop. Those with home made scoops or cone/induction type intakes will see different results, possibly negative affects.

Stage 1: $1199 (22-25whp over stock)

Kits include software, ram air scoop and BMC filter.

Those who already have our ram air kits can send their ECUs in for our stage 1 reflash for $990.

We are pretty happy about the gains we seen, especially for the price of the package. There are several who spend over $1000 on an exhaust or something else that may not work or improve performance.

Will the dealership be able to detect the re flash? If they reset the ECU can we get another reflash from RPI at no charge?
