For the performance/ enthusiast side of things, this is your best resource.
While not overly active, it is actively monitored by a core group of members and you will get good answers to questions. There is also a wealth of knowledge to be found searching old threads. You have to remember that there are not many of these cars on the road compared to the M3 series etc. There are a number of people who buy these cars and then move on after a year or two, but many of us are hard core Z4 enthusiasts that have owned for many years and plan to keep for many more. These cars have also been out of production for several years now, so there aren't many 'new' topics that haven't already been discussed. ....hope that you find the resources that you are looking for.

This is definitely the go-to forum and can be a little quiet for all of the reasons Ian stated. However, there are a lot of us who are on here every day.

I joined quite a few Z4 forums years ago when I got my car. This is now the only one I keep open and check daily for new posts. As others have said, the information exchanged here is very good. The forum gas-can mentioned is still active as well, but their steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car

Z4 Forum is good if you like the chatter. It's entertaining. There's a lot of misinformation on it though... like "backbox deletes" and aFe intakes cause power loss, tunes on base models gain 20+ hp, etc. Most members are more concerned with quad exhausts and DIY angel eyes. No one knows about the search function, but that's part of the draw - witty banter with a Z4 theme and a happy, receptive community. Occassionally you'll run across something groundbreaking, but your filter needs to be especially active on most threads.
This is the best place to come for technical advice.
