Interesting conversation today

I was getting my Z4 MC detailed today and when I picked up the car I was approached by a gentleman by the name of Bill. The conversation went like this:

Bill: Nice car, what year is it?
Me: Thank you, 2007.
Bill: How many miles?
Me: 13 thousand.
Bill: How much would you want for it?
Me: Thanks, it's not for sale.
Bill: Everything has a price, what's yours?
Me: No price, it's not for sale.
Bill: I'll pay you whatever you want, I've been looking for a good Z4 MC.
Me: Seriously thanks but it's not for sale and I understand, I looked for 2 years for mine. Good luck with your search.

Hold onto your Z4's Folks, they are unique and tons of fun!

Sounds like "Bill" is a perfect candidate for an EAG car. If price is no object, he'll find several awesome specimens always available there.

That's awesome, Chris. If that didn't give you a boost in your purchase decision, nothing will. Mine goes in the shop this week to get a complete transfusion of new fluids, valve job, and engine/trans mounts, new bolts, plus anything else Nick finds. I hadn't driven the roadster in about a week due to the rain. Driving it yesterday, I couldn't help but smile.

Who does your detailing? I enjoy doing my own, but I know some of the detailers in this area, and I'm curious if I know him/her. Have you decided on a mechanic, yet?

Yes, after all that rain Saturday was sunny and a great day to be out. I haven't found a good detailer yet, just used Carolina Auto Spa, they did a good quick job.

Who's Nick? I need to find a good Indy Mechanic in the area.

Chris, there is a detailer that does a lot of BMWs and other high end cars in your area. His name is Mike Napoli and his service is called CMC Detailing. He does all of the work, himself. He does excellent work. Of course, it takes time and time is ... well, you know.

Nick Benner owns Lake Wylie Euro. I have no personal experience with his abilities, yet, other than talking to him on the phone, but he sounds knowledgable about the S54 engine and is definitely professional on the phone. I'll let you know how it goes. I have high hopes since he is just down the road from me, and reviews are good.
