Sneak Peak - Zircotec Coated

Just got these pictures, I'm pretty excited. Got these coated by zircotec in solid black.

Looks awesome!

I still always wonder when I see a fresh pair of euro headers, "what is this guy gonna do to make sure his CEL doesn't come on?" because I still don't really know what needs to be done. Seems to be a lot of ambiguity on the subject, unless I'm just half-illiterate. (don't answer that...)

You can relocate your O2s, or just buy the euro cats as you can see in the pic. I'm going to do a tune as well to get the full performance out of the setup.

Um sorry corrected above (for those reading this thread later I had typed in "euro headers" instead of cats).

Why doesn't ess or someone write the secondary o2 sensors out of the tune? Ok so they sell it as off road use only really. We do not have emissions in texas... On my VW GTI turbo they (unitronic) wrote the secondary o2 and the secondary air out of the tune, would love to delete both from my z4mc. I still have both cars and the VW is just a second slower on the highway because it smokes the tires in third =-). Stock tiny ko3s.

Oh you mean painted.

This stuff is applied with by friggin' robots with plasma torches. It's used by lamborghini and Koenigsegg as well as a few race teams.

Quote:
Jeff Stokes, Koenigsegg's Chief Operations Officer says....

"The Zircotec coating offered us an immediate solution and substantial improvement over the coating we were already using."
Quote:
Luca Meschiari, Head of Exhausts at Lamborghini comments...

"The Zircotec coating was the only coating that satisfied all our requirements."
"It is durable and offers significantly better performance than any other solution we have seen."
Only thing comparable in the US is swaintech.

So that's what's up

Well I dont know about you but as for me I like to keep the human race employed as much as possible while keeping my dollars state side. yeah I get it, Zirc tec whatever has their name on aftermarket tuning jobs for all those high end fancy pants cars.....but the word "Jet" in Jet Hot relates to the fact that the coating has been tested and used on the battlefields. :-)

Ive seen the stuff work in person during my second tour of duty. I remember I heard about this stuff way back before I got into BMW's. Humvees would over heat (especially the M-114 uparmored) and they would have to slow down to cool down..... The day the mechanics convinced the Commander to "sign off" on a "specially Coated" exhaust manifold service ,about a month later the humvees NEVER overheated. Almost All tanks in the military have this stuff on.

So in short Id rather invest in something tested in war thats worth millions (ie, M1,Humvee, Shinooks, etc) Rather than Koenigsegg, Ferrari, and whatever the trustfund/1% yups use.

Hmmmmm......

Zircotech coating used inside of a 300,000 dollar "pull me over" Red Ferrari.....or.....wait for it.........Jet Hot Coating liberally and patriotically applied to a "you cant see me" 30 million Dollar Desert Tan M1 Abrams tank that is still being used today while its carrying several tons of ammunition and enough tech to level several Ferrari and Zircotec plants......

i dont know.

But anyway good job on the coating. Im sure neither of us will see temps under the hood that our coatings were originally designed for

BTW, I have 1700 degree Jet Hot Coating on the inside of the headers to smooth flow AND 2000 degree Coating on the outside.

So Ill see your wuddup and raise you a "oh shiznaps"

"friggin' robots with plasma torches " FTW
