Lets talk X-Pipes, Rouge or SuperSprint?

Well after doing the Euro header and Euro car pipe the only other pipe left would be the X-Pipe,

Is it actually worth doing?
Do you honestly get any power from it?
I'd imagine it would help the headers blow out a few more, so I'm thinking to buy a pipe for when I do my headers in the next few weeks,

But I see Supersprint and Rogue makes them (possibly more vendors too)

I haven't done too much research but whats the call on these?

The cans out back are Supersprint Powerloops, as I'm not a fan of over loud exhausts,
Sporty is fine, noisy is not

Give me your opinions guys

It replaces the green pipe in the picture

and this is the supersprint pipe

I have the SS ones, and I noticed a definite increase in power. From what ive read, this is where a good percentage of the bottle-neck is, and opening it up makes nothing but sense. I retained the stock mufflers, so the sound has turned into more of a growl, but minimally so. My $0.02

SS I would said I don't like the quality and the looks of it but I think that they have being better designed then the RE ones. technically our cars don't need a x-pipe and SS is not a real x-pipe design in contrary to the RE's that are truly a x-pipe design. I can see around 7hp for SS and maybe loss of some Hp for RE, but I have not tested the RE ones tho, I will in the future tho.. just my 2 cents...

It's hard for me to describe but in his case he still using cats on sec 1 what change the flow and in the case with the RE's the flow can overlap on the x and increase back pressure.

(I need technical english school)

Hmmm.. I was thinkingof getting the RE's when they get stock in from overseas.. It does look like the RE pipe merges with the other pipe. Wonder how much research RE has done on this pipe? From my research the RE pipe is the only one that will mate w/o welding and cutting too. I had the SS pipe but did not feel like messing with the fab work. Johanness had his modded and said it fits good.

It should not be a big problem if you are catless tho!

Edit: Because the design is more consistent with a catless system

I don't think that a lot of people know this but half of the design of a x-pipe is done with a muffler in mind. (is kind like a soup, you can't really eat w/o a spoon) so the SS are that way because when you mate to their mufflers you get the expected performance but as a stand alone they don't guarantee improvement or don't even consider the use of other muffler since it can work completely against of what was designed for.

So for the OP, that already have the PL cans the x-pipe should perform as expected, meaning improving sound and performance.

Also the other half take in consideration the matching possibilities of the section right before it and usually that is accomplished by a change in pipe diameter to match with the possibilities of running or not running with cats, you will most likely compromise on that area.

Well Supersprints look to be the way to go then,
I have the SS pwerloops as mentioned so they should bolt up to that without mod,
Do they bolt up to the section 1 (cat pipes) without mods?

Could have sworn somewhere I read the SS x pipes required modding to fit,

This way the cars exhaust setup will be OEM Euro Headers, OEM Euro Cat Pipe with o2+EGT Bungs from factory (unsure of Cat cell count, Assuming same as USA cats) "Brand xxxxx" X Pipe, Finished with Supersprint Powerloops

I had the SS X section & P.Loops on my M Roady & they were a great setup.
Since you have the loops I would definitely stay with the SS X.

For many; the main consideration will be matching to the rear cans you have.
The RE is a direct OE replacement with no extra fittings.

Since I have Eisenmann cans (OE flanges), I ordered a RE X section.
I'll post my findings when I get it.

Are you powder coating the X-Pipe too?

Does the Ssection 1 pipe end match up on the SS X pipe?
From the pictures it looks a little off,

IIRC, end of Feb. mid March.

I wanted to get my order placed because backorders will be filled before new orders.
I have no idea how many they're bringing in & didn't want to miss this 1st shipment.

They say there is better heat retention within the system when ceramic coated.
