Thinking about Rotiform Nue
I found another wheel that I really liked (HRE 305M's) but don't want to spend $5k on wheels. I came across a similar wheel that i really like, the Rotiform Nue. Here's a few mockups in silver and black. What looks better on white?

I like the silver in this wheel. Looks sharp. I would have never thought to try this wheel, but I really like it on your car.

Did a couple more mockups with a new angle/photo.
I photoshopped a few examples of the Rotiform Nue wheel on my car, let me know what you think? Pretty sure I like the wheel but I am on the fence about the color. |

IMHO, The style is so interesting that the black hides it too much.
The silver does a better job of bringing the curves to life. They look awesome, and that price is hard to pass up.

I agree Stickmon, the silver looks surprisingly good here, I really like it. Do you know the ballpark weights of these torchy?
BTW torchmedia, a few chicks at work were drooling over your coupe today - my calender is happily displaying February! Last edited by Digs; 02-23-2016 at 01:50 AM.. |

LOL, Digs you just made my day.
The weight is the unfortunate side of things. 32lbs up front and 33lbs on the rear. I'm not fully up to speed on the physics of wheel weight, but I know that 32/33 is definitely not optimal. |

I'm going to have to agree with others that silver is the way to go. Although I am on Westersund side here as well. Then again I feel like it's hard to predict just how concave they would be on the car and that makes a lot of these wheels work for our cars.

I think the rounded triangle cutout helps this wheel work with the car. If you look at the train shot with the silver wheel, you see rounded triangular forms in the front brake ports, the passenger window Hofmeister kink, the headlights, and even the side of the car with the crease. When viewing the black wheels, one sees the spokes and not the cut-out, and I think that is at least part of the explanation why the black wheel doesn't work as well to my eye.

I agree that the silver wheels bring out the design of the wheel, but I've always liked black
wheels on an alpine white M Coup. IMHO based upon previous threads on the weight of wheels, you may not like the heavier weight of these wheels. |
