That Dynaplug is pretty slick looking. Just remember to carry some vise grips with ya. I have a small pair at home I'm thinking about that I'll throw in my car once I get Dynaplug. I kinda wish the dynaplug had a T handle tho for a better grip. Whose up for a group buy

I ran to walmart after chickdr mentioned Fix-a-Flat; but I picked up Slime repair kit instead, It got higher reviews online, and also re-inflates the tire. walmart 6bucks!
I'm delighted to help!!

Thanks for mentioning the Slime product; I was not aware of it!

I'm in Canada. Would you believe that after reading your post, I was looking through this week's Canadian Tire flyer and starting tomorrow, all Slime products are 30% off up here. And they have a neat little compressor also.

So, I'm going to pick up some Slime and a compressor tomorrow, join CAA and order a Dynaplug kit. That ought to leave me well prepared!

Oh yes - and a Vise grip!!!

Cheers!!

Hit & run

@shakib,
I wasn't stereotyping, damn it!
I stated the facts of my situation.
I related a personal incident.
I made no references inferring that every hit & run was caused by a Mexican illegal alien.
I inferred NO stereotypes. I stated the facts of my situation.
You, sir, are on the "slippery slope" for inferring such.
An apology from you would be in order.

I apologize to all for hi-jacking this thread. I now release my soapbox.

Ah nice, I saw the compressor as well, but some reviews around the net stated it blew their fuse ( It plugs into your 12volt in the car). When they called customer service, they supposedly said its a 10% chance that could happen. I was tempted to buy it but figured a blown fuse and a flat would be a terrible spot to be stuck in..lol be careful.. Otherwise it has great reviews from people. They also sell this whole repair kit, for $38 at walmart, comes with a compressor, slime, bandaids and med stuff, orange triangle and jumper cables.. seems like a good buy. Only reason I didn't get it was the fact it uses the compressor to push the slime in.. so if the compressor acts up or isn't working, your kinda stuck..

I just remembered there is also a $20 kit with a small compressor had good reviews.

I'm sorry I'm so late on this thread. But after reading this, I need to vent for you!

THAT SUCKS!!!!

Just being honest, I don't know how well I would be able to contain my anger. It's so irritating when people who obviousely could careless about their cars can't seem to avoid dinging or hitting as the case may be our cars.

AAARRRGGG!!!

Anyway, glad you got it fixed! I am always so worried that some one will carelessly ruin my car perminantly! But it's nice to hear that it can be fixed to such a perfect degree!

The sad thing when you are hit like this is that you have lost 2000 to 4000 dollars in trade or resale value. It really does not matter what the car fax says. Every dealer will mic the paint and pick up the accident right away. If you sell to a private party and fail to disclose the accident you could end up getting sued years later. I would really try and see if you can find the person. Most malls have lots of video. Somewhere its probably on tape. Then you can sue for your deductable back and the diminished value of the car.

Here is the picture after the repair.

The fender and door skin are all new. It seems like a good job, If yah notice anything let me know. Sorry car was dirty, some people recommended I'd wait to wash it, myth or not, I'd rather not risk it.

Color match looks good so far.

Light reflection looks ok as well.
