Item Interest

I am selling my 2007 Z4 ///M Roadster, exterior paint is Imola Red, interior is Sepang Bronze Light with Madeira Wood trim, no accidents or stories. The car has been driven 34K Mi and it’s fully loaded with heated seats, nav, premium package (electric seats, BT, THX sound, etc). The front of the car is protected by a venture shield covering the full hood, bumper, quarters, wheel arches and mirror covers and it was installed by Metropolitan Detail. The car has not been modified in any way other than the removal of the CDV and a lighted ZHP knob as well as the addition of the OEM wind deflector. There are no holes for the front license plate as I use a GoMiniGo tow hook license plate holder. The car currently sits on bridgestone tires which were purchased in April, an alignment was performed by Cantrell motorsports a year ago and all scheduled maintenance has been diligently performed as well as in between oil changes. I am selling because we’re moving downtown and have no need for 2 cars. I’m asking $29,000 which is below KBB. The warranty expires in December so the new owner could still get the extended factory warranty at a discounted rate.

I was driving around downtown and parked to take a look at a rental and a few minutes later the car started smoking.

Yeah, I'm not sure whether I should laughing, crying or enraged....
There will be an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and either MINI or my insurance will be responsible.

I always hate to see cars being burned up. It's such a waste. I do hope it gets sorted out, and I hate that it happened to you. At least it didn't happen to the M.

Looks like the S model had fire issues in 06-08? Apparently there's an investigation going on with these by NHTSA. See this thread. If it's a newer model, I'd say it looks like they haven't corrected their design flaw. Looks like there are quite a few fires, even with newer MYs, when I searched "Mini Cooper +fire" (link).
