I tend to think even 19's look too big on a roadster, any kind of roadster at that (I had 18's on my TT roadster) but it really depends on the drop. My TT is bagged so it can pull off a bigger wheel without looking donked out IMO lol but I've seen moderate dropped Z's and TT's with 19's and thought to myself that's too big of a wheel.

So basically I'm saying it depends on the drop. When I pick up my Z4 I'll be looking for 18's MAYBE 19's after it's bagged.

I tend to agree with you. I've been trying looking at a lot of pictures of Z4 roadsters with rims and trying to figure out if I should go with 18" or 19". Advice from different sellers have been inconsistent as well. Some will tell me 19" with low profile tires and a drop will look good. But I think at the end, for my car, 18" rims with the current brakes I have make more sense. Plus I don't think I want low profile tires and make the ride any bumpier than it already is.

From what I hear a 19 inch wheel and tire are good for the z but the tires cn be a bit more expensive due to the odd size, found wheels for my car but they only come in 20 so I was thinking of going that route, tires should be less expensive than 19 too. I'm just curious as to how many z post members here have 20's because I'm afraid they will be too big. Was going to go with h&r sport springs too but not sure at this point

H&R springs and 20's are a bad combination. You are going to have to slam the car for it to look good on 20's. 19" tires are not expensive. I have hankook v12's on my street wheels and they are great

I have sport h&r springs on my Z and it (IMO) dumped it. I had to remove my spacers just so the wheels would not rub any more. 20's are way to big, you'd basically have to be rinning rubber bands for tires and thats with stock suspension. If anything 19's at the biggest! Also its going to depend on what you plan on using the car for, track? DD? those are the choices you have to make first before you get some new shoes.
