The same happened to my left duct due to the track indecent. The fix was this:

Go to HomeDept or Lowes and get two plastic bolts, the corresponding plastic nuts and two plastic washers.

Now mark the duct where the tab is and drill a hole in that spot. Now run the plastic bolt up through the duct and into the mount and tighten with the nut..

This is even better than stock because the duct does not move around anymore. I like this mounting method so much, I even did it to the other 'good' side.

The parts cost about $5.00 vs. $100 for two ducts....

Awesome. That will save me from ordering the right side. Already had a new left side. So should I go on and "break it" to run bolts threw it? Seems pretty tight right now as new.

If I wasn't taking it to the body shop on Tuesday for final touches, I would take a picture.

I will take a picture when I get the car back and remove the bumper.

Walked out into the garage and remembered that the headlights are removed.

Man, this is one timely thread! I'm getting ready to remove my bumper tomorrow to replace one of the brackets. There is all sorts of good info in here. I'll have to stop and get some plastic bolts also.

The car is supercharged and the filter is just behind the bumper on the drivers side, you can see it through the kidney grill, don't know how else to get at it without removing the bumper.
