Quick Question - Rear jack Point???
guys - quick question!
Where are the jack points if a fella wanted to lift the back of the car to pull the rear wheel off? A buddy of mine thinks he has a slow leak in one of the rears. Thanks!

If it's like mine you can use the rear brace point that's right in front of the diff as a jacking point as well. Do not use the diff itself! There are two jack points right in front of the rear wheels as well.
The jacking point in front of the diff method only works if I drive the car onto two 2x6 planks though (not much clearance under the rear). I also always use actual car stands under the side jacking points before messing around with anything--not safe with just a floor jack. Chris has a DIY that describes it step by step. |

should i be worried?
my M3 had a rear mount point in the center of the subframe. no such thing in this car so i lifted via the rear diff once.

An alternate to the way Chris does the front.
I used to go in from the front instead of the side. I rolled up on a couple of planks to get clearance for the jack.
