powering z4m powered seat outside of car

Hi guys,

just a quick question about the z4 powered seats. I have one of my seats outside the car and id like to power it so i can move the controls for the seat to make it move forwards/backwards upwards/downwards and to recline/incline the seat.

I have a 12v 30amp power supply, i haven't looked at it very closely, but i just want to power the seat, don't care for any of the memory functions or anything else, just basically move the seat.

how do i go about this?

anyone have any info or best way to go about this?

Basically id like to know if i can just hotwire my 12v 30amp psu into the yellow connector for positive and negative and will that just work? I do realise that the seatbelt safety pyrotechnic thing is still there too, which i don't want to fire.

cheers.

edit, i don't want to hotwire directly to the motor as i would like to use the side switches to move the seat.

I did it. 30a is plenty. Used jumpers to connect to the plug. Don't remember the wire colors but you can google the diagram.

^This^

And you'll know if you connect to the pre-tensioner.
