What is this part?

Hi,
While looking "under the hood" after getting a check engine light i saw this flap open and I don't know if it should be open or it's stuck against another part.

That's just a water drain for the windshield cowl. It is normally closed. Maybe see if there is some debris preventing it from shutting all the way.

Thanks! Any chance that could cause a check engine light? I should be receiving the Carly OBD today (I have the VGate for the X5 and it doesn't work to get the codes so now i own 2).
