I believe the discount has a cap of -$100 MAX. I tried it for a $1300 item and it didn't give me 20% discount only -$100.

Correct, so the sweet spot is for things around $500. Wish this was happening a couple weeks ago when I bought a couple cordless impacts

$90 off Apple Watch is pretty good though
