Carbon Fiber Leather

Anybody have good photos of the CF leather in their M? It's to be offered on the new M3 and many are wondering how it looks. Let us know how you like it at M3Post....

Thanks!

Here you go! BTW, I'd get it again... I love it!
PS. I scoured the net for those pics. I've got pics of my own, but I'm too lazy to resize them tonight.

You'll never find a picture that does the carbon fiber leather trims in the Z4M justice.

For me, I already had the alumminum dash trims in my 2.5i and my 3.0i. I didn't want my Z4M's interior to look the same as my previous Z4's or I wouldn't feel like driving a new car.

By the way, did anyone else notice that the alumminum trims on '06~'07 Z4's actually have a different color tone and pattern from the pre-facelifted Z4's?

Yes, there are a couple or three aluminum versions now.

It's not even real wood.

I was contemplating aluminum trim, but the Z4 that was in the showroom with that trim had a few visible scratchmarks and it detracted from the whole look of the car. I know that those scratches could have also existed in any of the other trim, but on aluminum trim it seemed to stick out more.

BMW probably changed their supplier or something. The old alumminum trims and the new alumminum trims look 98% similar. Just the new ones are shinier and look more "flat" IMO.

Yeah...the only thing I don't like about my "aluminium" is that I hit the trim ont he center console with the seat belt buckle ONCE and it will forever have a scratch

Wood trim is awesome! It really makes the interior look classy. I think it makes my Zed quite elegant. It looks like a beast from the outside, but the inside is very civil....kind of like me.

Face it, man... you're getting toppled here. Unless Bluesharp comes in to save your day, I think the general consensus is that wood is a little passé.

Wood is classic, not passe. So you bought the coupe because you have problems with your wood?

BMW wood is real wood

it's thinner than a sheet of paper, but it is real wood

I like the contrast the AL or wood bring over the monotone black interior

although I agree, that I wouldn't want the same trim as the non M cars (AL)

so I'd be left with choosing wood... eeww I'm getting old
