Would 265/35/18 on style 162's fit on a non-m z4?

Before you say no, let me start by saying I already fitted 255/35/18's on style 162's on my z, and they fit really well, but the rear tires are shot. So I came across a really good deal for a pair of 265/35/R18's Yoko S. Drive, and want to see if they fit.

Attached are a couple of picture of how the 255's sit on the car. IMO I think it should be fine, because it'll be just 5mm on each side, but I'd rather get second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth opinion...

Thank you Peeps =)

What's the width of the style 265's?

I think you meant style 162's, which are 8.5' in the back... if it's the tire, I'm assuming the width is 265mm

265 on 8.5" will not fit. Most tires require at least 9" for 265, with the measured rim width being 9.5", which means even 9" will fit but will not be ideal because it won't give you the full contact patch.

For 8.5" max is 255, and 245 will likely perform better.

Those are 265/35/18 on 18*8.5 wheel, there are people out there running on that setup, especially Subaru guys...

Not to be an ass, I just want to know, judging by the horrible pictures, would 5mm more fit?

I'm going by what the tire manufacturer says, for yokohama s-drive 265/35/18 they want you to use a rim of 9 to 10.5" with 9.5" the measured rim width.

Finnegan also confirmed that putting a wider tire on a rim than the measured rim width gives you less performance.

But hey it's your car. Lots of people running ridiculously stretched tires and all kinds of craziness.
