Question about tuning and battery disconnect

Waiting for ess n52 sc to come in sometime next week, my question is will the upcoming recall that will be issued effect the ess tune from them disconnecting the battery etc

An electrical short can cause the parts within the PCV valve to melt, increasing the risk of a fire, even when the vehicle is not in use.

Your tune will be fine

I unhook my battery every winter.
Is ESS sending a flash tuner? If so you can always reflash.

Yea it comes with the kit I believe, only concern was them having battery unplugged for x amount of time and then drivability from dealership home if tune was effected

From my understanding ess hasn't been properly able to tune the n52 s/c along with headers. After digging through other posts it seems that bimmer performance center (BPC) in nc has been the only ones to successfully tune the n52 with headers and s/c combined. So I'll use what ess gives me for now till next winter

The DME programming goes into flash memory, same type as in any USB memory stick. It doesn't require any power to retain the programming, you'll be fine.
