CF mirror housings

While waiting for Tekarbon to replenish their stock on the CF mirror housings I have been scouring the internet for options and came across this

What do you guys think. Any knowledge on these.
My concern would be the fitment of the mechanism.

I purchased something very similar to these for my E36 Cabriolet except mine had turn signals.

Installation was a nightmare due to bad fitment, so I would be cautious.

Fake carbon look ... no go and personally I think that design doesn't fit the lines of the Z4.

Guys! I just talked to Tekarbon and they said the mirror housing are back in stock! They didn't mention how many they had but he said they're stocked. I bought myself a pair!

Yessir.....ordered mine the minute I got the in stock notice

I got mine from Bimmian.com guys, Tekarbon isn't the only option. If I'm not mistaken, ECSTuning had them as well

Ecs doesn't carry them. I also had the one from bimmian, but theirs is a cover. Tekarbon is tha actual housing, much clean install and holds up better. My bimmian ones started chipping on the edges -_-

I regret clicking this thread because I was not aware that a full carbon fiber housing existed! AND now I want it

Tekarbon....Tekarbon....Tekarbon....purchased and installed my 07 Z4MR side mirror housing 4+yrs ago....they look freakin' new; suggest waiting for their quality.

So I was impatient, bought the CF mirror caps from ebay for $60 and the fitment is not great. From the outside, it does the job, covers the mirrors fine, and the weave is actually quite nice. But from the drivers seat you can see how it doesn't wrap all the way around and there are gaps where the tape isn't strong enough to hold the fitment.

^ I was so close to hitting the buy it now on the covers from eBay, also impatient waiting for Tekarbon.
Glad I held off. My Tekarbons are enroute

Like I said bimmian has them for $200 and they're covers but they do look nice. Also, has anyone here ever purchased carbon fiber from NVD? Their side mirrors look like they're not covers but housings as well.

I have contacted NVD, theirs are complete housings. I was quoted $440usd

OK, so the hype is well deserved. Excellent piece from Tekarbon and well worth the wait for them to restock.
I suggest signing up for notification of when they get stock and do not hesitate when you get the email.

These look soooo much nicer than the ones that I got from them.

They must have changed suppliers.

Wow, looks fantastic! Do you have a side shot too? You've convinced me, I'm on the list now and will replace the ebay mirror caps with these!
