Tire Pressure Sensor and Non-RFT
Hello All,
Going to replace my RFTs with a nice set of Yoko's and the mobility kit. If I get a flat, plan on using the can of gunk with the kit. One thing I don't want do is screw up the automatic tire pressure sensors. Does anyone have a linke or info on how BMW's sensors work? Thanks |

You have a 2006, which means your car has the ABS-based TPMS instead of the valve-based one, so no worries. The ABS system detects when a tire is rotating at a different rate than the others, indicating it's lower.

Nope, not until 2007. It makes sense to think it was added when the Ms were introduced and the facelift was taking place, but that's now how it happened.
