I'm in need of a Navigation unit as mine just went out. Would this pretty much be plug and play and do I need anything additional to make it work to my OEM setup?

To the best of my knowledge this is just plug and play yes. Assuming you already had a screen?

I'm not certain if there's any difference in the LHD and the RHD models -- I wonder if the buttons might be flipped so to speak. So it should still work the same, but If you're left hand drive, the first set of buttons would be the stepping raise / lower, and the right hand side buttons would be full open / close.

EDIT: Having just watched some videos on YouTube of an american 2006 left hand drive z4 it would seem that the unit is identical

EDIT2: This might help too with info: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...646&series=E85

That's the only thing I think is different. If you tell me your last 7 digits I think it is of vin/serial number I can look on the BMW ETK I downloaded
