Garage List
The autocross/track wheels that we bought for my wife's 335is Coupe last year are Apex ARC-8 in Satin Black. The Satin Black looks great with the Laguna Seca Blue. I worked with Eddy at Apex on fitment because we wanted a square setup to maximize tire wear. They were recommended by a number of fellow BMW CCA autocrossers. Great looking, lightweight wheel!

I think I may be interested in a set of the EC-7s for the M to replace the stock wheels down the road, probably in Anthracite. If I get a separate autocross/track setup for the M, I'll definitely put those tires on Satin Black Apex wheels.

Yikes! I didn't think he really meant "chrome" like that! Agreed...I would not care for a true chrome look on any Z4.

NO! not like that! But in the end with the wise advise of this forum I went with silver. The truth remains to be seen but I firmly believe that I made the right decision.

I will post pics as soon as I get her back. The body shop says another 2 weeks minimum - aparently 1 of the parts had to come from Germany. I will have her back just in time to put her away for the winter. Damn!
I ended up with 8.5" front & 9.5" rear. I was tempted to go with 10" rear but then I would have needed new rubber and I just put these tires on her a earlier this summer. I can't justify replacing them with how much they cost.

I've been thinking about getting new wheels myself. Its been 9 years on the factory rims and I've had my eye on some OEM 224 style wheels. Trying to find a good place is tough, though. Finish Line Wheels and Auto Parts Fair have refurbs, but I've seen mixed reviews.

The Apex route is tempting, but now trying to find exactly what'll directly fit my 2.5i. I like to keep a stock look and am not all that DIY (obviously).

Here are the specs for the Apex wheels for our non-M fitments.

Front: 18x8.5" ET35 235/40/18
Rear: 18x9.5" ET43 265/35/18
Roundel: 36 13 1 095 361

Check out the EC7 thread in the wheels section for more info if you want to go that route.

I'm sold on the Apex wheels. Just waiting till Spring so they aren't sitting in my basement tempting me all winter. Also, have a set of Eibach Pro Kit springs to put on so it doesn't look goofy. Which it does if you don't.
