Z4M pops and snorts.

Took a crappy iPhone vid of my car rumbling it's way through a parking garage tonight. Audio didn't come out too bad all things considering. Just thought some of you might like to hear what a stock motor, X/S pipes and Stromung cans car sounds like. I kept the revs pretty low as not to be overly obnoxious, but got a decent rev in there at the end. Oh well, fun times. Turn it up!!

That sounded great - thanks for sharing I wanted to get something similar, but wonders if I can get anywhere close to that by just adding an X-pipe to go with my Eisenmann sports I don't want to swap out the S-pipes since I want to keep it CARB legal. Did most of the pops coming from changing out the X or S pipes?

Thanks!. S-pipes gave some, but they were a bit muted. X pipe really opened it up, and is where I saw the greatest gains in sound. I was all for getting headers for this car, but really don't want to potentially screw it up now hah!

headers don't screw it up. add more volume and depth

your car sounds good though

FWIW, I've gotten through 2 smog checks with RE S-pipes.
One tailpipe sniff, and one OBD scan/visual.
YMMV.
But like Nicky said, you'll probably get more snap crackle pop for your buck with the X-pipe.
I was planning to work in phases: cans, then S-pipes, then X-pipe.
Decided to quit while I was ahead after the S-pipes, but may still do the X some day if one comes up in the classifieds.

With the RE cans and S-pipes, I do get a lot of drone, but it sounds like this to me.

If enough is enough then too much is just right.
