Got home late from work yesterday so I'm still a little short of finishing up. But I did get the new headers in (100% fitment), and I added the non foulers to the bungs as well. I had to really drill them in for the o2 sensor to fit flush and so that it fits well under the cars transmission. You need to drill it deep otherwise your o2 sensor's wires are gonna burn off when it touches the transmission. Tight squeeze for both o2 sensors but fitted well at the end. I'll upload more pictures when I get home today. I had to torch up the copper bolts on the end of the headers for them come out. I ended up buying new 3/8 bolts at Home Depot because these were just completely useless -_- (30 minutes gone to waste).
If you're planning on using the stock exhaust bolts with your new headers, I suggest you heat them up prior to taking them out. Makes a huge difference. |

Did headers on 2 M54 powered cars (Z3 2.5)
Some notes: Gaskets worked fine, but I believe I did E36 gaskets the second time through, they were a little larger in diameter, and matched up to the new headers. Yeah, sometimes not every bolt opening will have a corresponding on one the head. You need a tune. The O2 foulers are going to do nothing - and even if they do, you still need a tune. |

Finally finished installing the headers today what can I say. First impression was the sound. Noticeably louder. Sounds like a real sports car when you rev. Little to no drone on the highway. Power wise, the difference is night and day. Low end as well as high end torque have drastically improved. Drove about 80 miles after the install and no SES light has come up. I'm assuming the non foulers are working but I'll keep everyone posted as these next few days go by. I'm honestly so happy with this project. It really wakes the car up. No more restrictions! If you're supercharged, this is a must. I'll have some sound clips up soon.
Here are some pictures No SES light yet Last edited by minmat11; 04-10-2016 at 09:20 PM.. |

I made that thread years ago, but my recommendation is the shark injector, otherwise any tuner (like OE tuning) can remove the light AND add more power. The Shark Injector will not remove the light. |

I sent you a PM a week ago with my thoughts on this.
You will be running lean with freer flowing exhaust now Do you have an AFR gauge??

It's not even the A/F ratio, it's ignition and cam timing changes as well. More power os left on the table that the stock ecu isn't calibrated to handle. And they can also shut off the CEL.
