Pilot A/S 3

Anyone running these ? I have DWS right now and need new tires to pass inspection for this year (4 yr old). Was going to go for another set of DWS but my local mech told me Pilot A/S 3 are much better..

LMK What you guys think

I had them on my old e90 on stock sport wheels. Decent tire, not good in any type of snow. Performed good on regular pavement in warm weather though. I believe they came stock on corvettes.

I just got a set of these in December, I think they are great. Roads are rough around my place we get lots of rain in my area so I wanted to go with an as tire. I don't plan on tracking my z4mc at all and the grip seems fine for some spirited driving.

Yes, A/S 3's. They were the non run flats versions. Came with the car when I bought it.

huh... I would never have guessed a 'vette to come with all-season tires straight from the factory. seems a bit strange to me.

consider me learned!

I have a set on my 335d. Surprisingly good traction in dry for an AS, quiet, and outstanding in rain (main reason I went with AS and in colder temps than summer. But, not great in snow. Conti DWS are much better for that.

Dry conditions - I'd probably give the slight edge to the A/S 3.

Anything else, I'd lean more towards the DWS.

Pilot A/S 3

Put a set on the wife's E350 about 4K miles ago, and I am very impressed with the tire. Ride, wet handling, road noise, all are very good. Not quite to the level that the Pilot S/S on my Z4! But for an all season tire, I would recommend. Now rear tire life on an E350? We'll see.

The DSW that were on the car when we bought it got about 18K out of the rears, and the first set of A/S that we put on got about 24K on the rears (gotta get her to quit the burn outs!); so we shall see what the A/S 3's do.

I had dws right before the AS/3, I had to replace 2 due to bubbling of side wall, so basically I bought 6 tries. It was just a little over 1 year old and the bubble developed.

There is rumor of stronger sidewall dws coming out.. who knows
