Question ZM that not been moving.
Hi everyone
I'm from MA. My Zm supercharge that have been in an accident (front) 2 month ago and been parked outside the autobody without moving( snow and rain on) They finally gonna start working on it next week. It my first time having my car sit that long without moving and not garaged. Just want some idea and opinion what i should do once i get the car back. Thank you |

I expect the battery may be flat or getting there by now. I would not be happy about my car being left outside in the rain and snow either. I would insist that it be moved inside and placed on a proper battery tender asap.
Also you may need to have certain functions recoded in view of the fact that the car hasn't been running to charge the battery. For example I used to store my car at a local facility over the winter and the guy running the place didn't charge my battery, despite his assurance that he would use the tender I gave him to do so. The radio lost its presets (no big deal) but the car forgot the seat memory positions that I had paid the dealer to have programmed to my key and my wife's key. So if you have had the dealer do any programming like that, it may need to be redone. I've since built my own garage by the way. And I hope your brake rotors and pads haven't seized after two months outside without use regularly to clear the rust. You did not say if your car is a roadster or coupe. If it's a roadster, the months outside in the rain and snow may possibly have flooded and destroyed your top motor. If your convertible top is no longer working, it's because of the extended outside storage in my opinion. If the car now has any of these problems, it's due to the ineptitude of the shop. Fuel stabilizer should be added any time the gas is not going to be used in 2 months...might want to stick some in to avoid any issues with fuel injection etc. once you get it back which may be a bit longer.

My ZM is a roadster.
The auto body thought I wasn't in a hurry for it and just keep delaying to fix it. Their reason for not putting it inside because it wasn't drivable( broken axle) but I know that BS. Thank you for your advice guys just hope nothing mayor issue come up once it done... Miss my car so much 😢 |

Unless the damage affects the top and the interior got wet, I doubt there is any issue with the car sitting outside for two months. There will be surface rust on the rotors, but that is not an issue. Not sure why anyone thinks it is unusual for a bodyshop to keep a car outside. Inside the building is for repairing cars, not storing them. Go by an auto dealership, do you think the cars they have in inventory sitting outside in the lot are all less than 2 months old?

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
