cost to upgrade steering wheel

the post about swapping out the steering wheel for a M-F one got me thinking. Does anyone know what it would cost to put an M wheel on my 05 Z? Is it a direct swap?

Yes, it's a direct swap. Keep your eye out for one either on Ebay or on the forums. The prices vary.

you can buy the one that has the tri-colored stitching or the one with just black stitching. they are roughly a $500 difference.

pn for tri-colored stitching and MF: 32307836820

pn for black stitching and MF: 32307906780

You will also need new multifunction buttons and lower trim piece

Your stock silver stuff won't fit

When I swapped my wheel for the M wheel, it came with the multi function buttons. It was not necessary to swap the trim pieces on the front of the wheel. The dealer did have to swap two pieces on the back of the wheel to enable the paddles to fit. If you have a stick then the wheel is a direct swap, the air bag is taken from the old wheel and put into the new wheel. Tischer has the wheel on sale, but it is still pricey. I will tell you that the fit and comfort of the M wheel is vastly superior to the stock wheel and in my estimation was well worth the expense.
