Z4MC IB detail

This my favorite M car so far and when you look at my odometer, it shows. I have logged 20k miles in the last 6 mo.

A lot of hwy tavel to visit family and friends back in Ca. Each trip I tell myself that I am going to take one of the other vehicles. In the end I always fold and take the M. There are to many great roads, and I love road trips.

As a result of all the road time, my once glowing IB had become very blah Fortunately for me, One of my friends has a great deal of skill when it comes to detailing. This Sat I was schooled in not only how to bring my IB back, but also what to use and why. In the time it took me to wax my wheels ( wheels removed for detail) My buddy had already prepped my entire car, polished the car twice, and began to seal.

The detail continued on into the evening and in the end the results were awesome. The work far exceeded my expectaions! The next day when I was able to pull the car out into the sunlight, the paint looked brand new again. Needless to say I am very excited and she ( I know it's kinda lame that I call my car a she ) is glowing once again.

Entire car had been clayed a week or two prior, so we skipped that step. Also, I'm still kinda new at detailing so my arsenal of product is still growing, and it was my first IB car (plus a friend's car) so we took an approach that was on the cautious side.

I wish we had taken some before shots to show off the spider-webbing all over the hood.
Either way, I'm happy with how it turned out - and more importantly, I think the owner is

Here's what was used:
CG Citrus Gloss & Wash
CG Premium Blue Wheel/Rim cleaner
Porter Cable
M205 polish w/ LC Yellow pad
Isopropyl wipe
Zaino Z2
CG Luber
NXT Tech Wax w/ LC Blue pad
Wheel Wax

Wow, looks amazing. I need to claybar again before it gets too cold here... can't ever seem to find the time though
