radio stopped working

Just purchased an 08 Z4 Coupe and the radio stopped working. The screen is locked on "On Board Computer" and none of the buttons works - menu, info, on off, stations volume etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try pulling fuse F50 for while to see if it resets.
And make sure fuses 47 and 50 are good.

And if pulling these fuses doesn't yield any results, disconnect the battery for 30 minutes or so. There are multiple digital data busses in the Z4 and occasionally the controller for one of them locks up. When that happens it can impact multiple other items connected to the same bus. Disconnecting the battery for a period of time and then reconnecting forces all of the controllers to do a cold reboot (much like a restart of your PC) and sometimes that's all it takes to have everything working again.
The only thing you lose disconnecting the battery is the time setting in the clock and the window autoup/down positions. Take about 5 minutes to restore those things.

Thanks Z4 Friends for the suggestions. I will try them tomorrow and write a follow-up. Many Thanks again.

Thanks StickMon and dc_wright. After removing and checking fuses 50, 47 and 48 and waiting 45 minutes, I replaced fuses 50 and the radio reset.

I appreciate your responses and have saved this for future reference.
Happy motoring
Bill
