Alarm (Siren Modules)

I was planning to add the non-motion sensor alarm retrofit kit 65730302424 ($42) to my Z4MR but this has been discontinued by BMW. I found the E85 motion sensor version is still available online for $229 and I started looking at the components of the kit, which are still available.

The E85 motion sensor version of the kit comes with the siren 65756940677 ($27) or 65756942431 ($153)

The E86/E85 non-motion sensor kit comes with siren 65756942431 ($153)

What's interesting is that the 677 part is compatible with cars produced through 12/2003 and the 431 part is for cars produced through 1/2006 but the instructions from both retrofit kits show they fit E85 cars from 2006 Start of production on.

Doe anyone know if there is any difference between siren part 65756940677 and 65756942431 ?

If I can use part 65756940677, it would be possible to retrofit the (non-motion sensor) alarm for around $60...

BMWfans is slightly more helpful:

Both are very confusal with respect to items #1 and #3.
