Extended Leather Parts?

The only thing I want is the extended leather console because the top part of my console where it slopes up to the soft top storage is cracked....

If I could get the parts for other parts like the roll bars behind the seats and the door panels id be willing to dish out some money for it.

The leather one's only $1300.
All the locating pins are broken off the bottom of mine.
Previous owner removed it to disconnect the center storage compartment lock, and then missed the holes when replacing it.

"If it doesn't fit, just hit it harder!"

Wait....just the center console is that much? Wtf. Isn't the Ext. Leather option a total of $2500 ?

Why would JUST the center console be that much?

Ext. Leather replacement parts are insane.
For instance, A-pillar cover:
Plastic
Leather covered (ECS couldn't afford to buy one to get a picture of it)

Probably because the plastic ones spit out of an injection molding machine at 1 per second with little finishing work required, but to cover it with leather you need to:
go out and kill a cow
skin it
clean, tan, and dye the hide
cut, fit, and glue the hide

The $2,500 the original extended leather option cost has no correlation to the cost of individual parts. Check out the price of a replacement navigation unit from BMW....
