Anyone else bought themselves XMas presents for their Z?
I have taken care of my family, BUT I also took care of my ZMC
1. KWV3 coilovers 2. 4.10 LSD 3. PS2 Tires 4. Volk RE30 Limited Edition Formula Silver I bought it all pre-owned (saved a ton) and have to wait until spring to install it- except the 4.10 that goes on next week. Everytime I look at my snow tires I get sad Anyone else guilty too?

Strong-Strut
Stumbled on a great deal on a Strong-Strut to include firewall braces from a guy in Portland, Oregon turning in his Z4 off lease.
Convinced my wife it's an early Christmas present

Jmillet: Sweet braces- they look really nice...especially against the red paint.
Tom_48: Snow tires are great. The car is still rear wheel drive but if I take it easy it does great. I have not driven in anything over a couple inches yet but so far so good. If it gets really deep I would take the train to work. I can say it does better than my other Front wheel drive car with all seasons. Oh yeah- I have to get my oil changed soon too.

Not really a xmas gift, but on the Coupe, I found the windows rub against the glass so after some research on the crappy-vette site, I came across Krytox, used by GM and Volkswagen for their crappy rubber seals. It's expensive, but WOW, this stuff is incredible and there are zero rubber noises. I also used it to lubricate behind several cheap plastic parts in the Coupe as well, especially the speaker surrounds to eliminate the squeaks caused by the cold temps we've had. So, yes, a xmas gift to the Coupe and my ears.

I bought MerLOW a OEM strut brace and the OEM hard mount wind diffuser. She'll get the diffuser installed next week. Happy Holidays everyone!

Made something for "us", a new gearshift knob. I used an all black snooker ball and mounted it on a aluminum collar similar to what Whalen does with billiard balls. I've used billiard balls in the past and they're just a little to big for me (2 1/4 inch diameter) and I also didn't want a number showing. I used a 2 1/16 inch diameter snooker ball and it's the perfect size and feel. I'll post a picture when I get a chance.
For those of you who like the feel of a sphere shift knob, you could compliment/accent your interior with a black, white, red ball of your choice. You also have the choice of mounting it short, standard, or higher then the oem knob. BTW, I had to order my snooker balls from Canada, couldn't find a US supplier. This is not an attempt to sell these, I do stuff like this for relaxation. I would think that Whalen would be willing to do something like this on request. Just wanted to contribute an idea to the forum.

car cover
I ordered a custom Covercraft Dustop car cover for indoor use. Incredible how much dust accumulates on the car in the garage. Autoanything.com is $169 w/ free shipping.

Picked up a jack kit, mobility kit, and tire repair kit. Piece of mind...since I switched to non-RFTs.

I recently got staggered 19" HRE 847R 19x8.5,19x9.5 but I'm afraid it will look like shit w/o some PSS9s which are like $2500, and that aint gonna happen this year. So for now it just got new wipers, oil change, new steering wheel airbag (bmw roundel was a little faded) and LED license plate lights installed. I think it's been spoiled plenty for x-mas.
