I'll try it for shits and giggles when I'm sorted through the everything. Have you tried it?

Interesting. I have catless Active Autowerke Gen IV headers, so I can see the missing power in your case being due purely to foiled adaptations with the O2 madness. I would drive it another few hundred miles and see if you notice improvement; you shouldn't need to completely reset it for it to continue to learn.

Beedub, here's to hoping I get near that 450RWHP; certainly a goal of mine since I have the headers. Someday the water/meth will come and make it a certainty

What's your cost per gallon for 98? 100 octane is extremely rarely available in California, but I have a station a reasonable distance from home and it was $6.99 USD for my last visit. 91 is about $4.10 lately.

yes they are completly different but we can get a TRUE 98 octane fuel @ certain stations.... a proper 98octane fuel makes a huge difference to the vt2, i have a drum of 110 race unleaded in my garage which i pump 5litres into a full tank to make a true 101 octane :-)

you will get near/match that figure easily with 8psi and proper fuel ;-) the car feels mental with this power, im so dissapointed with my weekend, i had some great shoots/vids planned and a trackday paid for but was very sick from friday over the weekend which basically left me in bed all weekend.... Great....

i wanted to get a shot of the speedo with the t/c light flashing through the first 3 gears ;-) that always makes me smile, Re the meth injection, you'd need to lean out the tune, the ess tune runs low to mid 11s, throw meth at this which will richen this some-what your getting way to rich, my climate here in the uk definatly doesnt require meth and the i/c does more than good enough job of dealing with intake temps.

I did a throttle reset, and a few pulls in 1st and 2nd gears with no issues right after. BUT I'll have to do a few more pulls after several cooldown cycles to confirm that my throttle position sensor issues are gone. So not going to get excited ahead of time.

Plus, its only been 130 miles since the rear o2s and egt were installed, and the ecu is still adapting. Idle isn't perfect yet because of this, plus I ordered new spark plugs just to be 100% sure they aren't a culprit.

I haven't installed the boost gauge yet because I'm seriously thinking about exchanging it for the stack gauge

edit: updated the first post with thread summary

why the move to the stack unit??

i have to admit imo the stack pro range are just about as good as it gets, ive set my boost gauge to change colour from the white backlight to red @ 7psi, once it passes 7psi the backlight then flashes red @7.5psi plus, it looks Rediculously cool @ night time and its a great way to see im hitting full boost without concentrating on the gauges all the time.... the wideband is the most important gauge for sure though.....

the stack gauges are simply awesome and REALLY fit in with the interior, so pleased with mine, the electric senders are TINY as well so very easy to mount in the engine bay :-)

From what I've seen online, and what others are telling me, the AEM gauge is a rainbow of a lightshow instead of a sweeping digital needle as I initially though. Its very useful with it's peak recall ability, but I didn't open the package yet....

They give me 10 extra octane, I know the owner

Ordered new spark plugs and a TPS sensor, unfortunately they're both coming from across the country.

plugs/TPS in yet????

you gotta be real careful with those clips on the intake it seems once they've restricted the movement on the TB, the TPS gets real upset and basically fucks up, youve to really be careful with clip placement.......

i never did get some "complete engine shots"??? ;-)

based on tracking everything should be here Friday. I'd like to re-install the airbox that connects to the throttle bodies, I think its angled too high in the back, making the BPV hit the hood, and some of the clips on the silicone connectors at the throttle body are partially sliding off.

I also placed an order for a stack 3512 boost gauge. shameless copy of your setup. After watching some videos of the AEM kit, I decided that its too rice for me

it should be no-where near the underside of your bonnet, definatly need to adjust this down slightly, mine is very very low and the underside is about 1cm away from the oil filter housing....(see pic) this evens allows loads of room for a strut brace, FYI mines pushed right into the silcon pipework and i mean right in, it'll take you 20mins max to sort that :-) trial and error. In this configuration their is NO fouling with the hood at all, as the BPV is lower than the Strut brace.

And the stack gauges are just pure baller. i love peak and different colour warnings it can flash as it sweeps through the boost range, mine set to white @ 1-3psi then amber @ 3-6psi then flashes Red through 6-8psi..... it looks so cool when it does that and its really easy to tell what boost range your in..... but if you not a over the top as me it can just be white the whole range or whatever colour you want.

Are these pictures before or after you clocked your blower? The oil stick looks just as in-accessible as mine, I remove the PS pump reservoir to get to it smoothly

the "compressor side" is clocked, we cant clock the mecanics side due to locating bolt points..... for example my s/c outlet is now moved AWAY from the chassis rail, the braided line underneath my blower is straight down.

as for the dip stick i custom modded the P/S mount so i can simply push it out the way by removing the nut that hold its to the bracket, and check oil level :-) like i said, ive done ALOT to get this perfect :-)

ah gotcha, I might clock mine too. I don't like the bend in the pipe coming out of it. As for the PS pump reservoir, its also a one bolt-move out of the way situation for me. Not a big deal.

For some reason I kept thinking today is friday.....its not

clocking the blower is a must for an "ideal fitment" it also makes sure the braided line is free from bends, the compressor outlet is also much easier to get a nice seal to the intercooler pipe because its not butted up against the chassis rail.

hows your s/c sounding?? ive done an interim oil change to get rid of the run in stuff, and the rattling has no gone.... just whiiiiiiiiissssshhhhhhhhhhh.

I remember reading on the forums about modding our round side marker / signals to turn them into side vents to get a LOT of those under hood temp out (while still keeping it stock looking).
Haven't looked for the thread yet, but remember thinking it would make total sense for a FI application. U know what I mean Roffle?

my varis cooling hood came badly damaged and i refused to sign for it, once youve signe youve excepted liability, so its on its way back, then again i dont know what i expected from a part that big coming from the other side of the world...

side marker is definatly a good one.... i guess i loose indicating function on the sides??
