Key remote won't lock

Anyone have this problem?

I did a search and came up with nothing. Basically my 06 Z4MC will unlock with the arrow button, but will not lock with the bmw button.

Any ideas? I have only one remote.

It locks with the key itself, yes?

If so, can't think of anything other than the keyfob itself.

Yes, the key fobs are known for sucking on multiple levels, from lack of range to just not working at times. Try resetting the keys.

Mine is acting up too. Thinking the battery in mine is going bad. Anyone take their key fob apart?

Yes locks fine when key is inserted. So you think it's a battery issue? As mentioned, unlocking works fine.

Funny thing is my key fob stopped working recently but despite numerous attempts of trying to reprogram it still do dice. On a possibly related note, occasionally when I turn off the car and remove the key, I still hear a continuous beeping noise (even when doors are closed, I can hear it from outside). Headlights and all interior lights are off too. I wonder if I have to replace a fuse related to the ignition.

Reporting back - it just started to work again, not sure what caused it, not sure what fixed it. Weird.

I've noticed my range is getting shorter and shorter. Figured the FOB needed a new battery...and that it would run something like $2,381.99 since it's a BMW part. ;-)
