Detail Products
I just bought a whole bunch of detailing products from Adam's polishes and chemical guys. Haven't used the products, but i am very impressed so far. I also bought a Porter Cable 7424. Not that this really means a hell of a lot but i am impressed with the whole shipment. When all of my boxes came, they were tightly fit, plenty of styrofoam, and smatly packed. The bottles also seem to be made of high quality. I will post a full review tomorrow when i detail my car!!

I got a PC 7424 last year for Christmas and love it.
I'm a big Zaino fan. Their shipping is the quickest I have seen and they have developed their own little packing system. They use one box with dividers for all of their shipments whether it's one bottle of quick detail or the whole maintenance kit. Their products beat any I have seen, especially using the PC. But, to be honest, I have not tried any other products with the PC. Anxious to see pics of your ride after the detail. Also, in the future let us know how long your products last on the car. Merry Christmas!! |

Wash -> clay -> polish (mild) -> wax -> done! I typcially make this a 2 day job. Wash and detail the body seams day 1. Garage overnight to allow to completely dry. Clay, polish and wax day two. My polisher of choice is the Griot's machine. It's made by Makita and gives a little more torque and the pad base draws air thru so the pad never heats up. I have their little 3" polisher as well for the smaller areas and for my bike. Enjoy!!!

I only have about 46 years experience in cleaning cars, showing for several years. Let me recommend the products from www.detailersparadise.com along with the Porter Cable 7424. I wish I had found these products about 15 years ago. Good guidance from 'MVF4Rrider' but follow the manufactures instructions.

Check out Autopia.org. Great detailing site. Wish I'd known about it a long time ago.

Stick with the Porter Cable to polish and wax your car. It won't eat the paint or mess up stuff the side of the pad hits. Slow and easy is the name of this game.

Yes, I understand that. Prior to using it just recently, have you used a polisher before? My first para was in case you hadn't. Ultimately some will use a polisher to remove polish and wax (in addition to putting down polish and wax), but that's not the intent. It's better to remove polish and wax by hand so you can swap clothes often and shake out the residue (all which can create tiny surface scratches). This is why I elaborated.

Let's see some pics!
I started using Zaino 2 years ago when I got my E90. Still have some of their products, but I've recently switched over to a lot of stuff from Chemical Guys. Great products, AMAZING PRICES (especially in bulk), very helpful with any questions as well.

I like to use a High speed buffer to polish my headlights from time to time cause I dont use LaminX. I use Zymol wax for the paint of my car. Couldnt be happier.
