Z4 Black Housing Headlights
I have contemplated for a long time about pulling apart my Z4M headlights and painting the housings black and adding some angel eyes. I was just browsing around today and ran across these.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-08...ht_5622wt_1167 What do you guys think? This is the first time I have seen aftermarket headlight housings on ebay for the Z4. May be worth a try idk? |

If you have an M I don't think these will work? We have H.I.D. headlights not halogen.

Why not just get the Xenon lights from a 2006+ 3.0i, Same lights, black housings.

Just bake them open and paint them, it'll be so much better than throwing some cheesy aftermarket lights in there. I did my TT's recently and even got rid of the amber blinker. They looked 100x better than any black aftermarket ones. |

There have been several attempts to bake the z4 headlight and pop it open all of which were unsuccessful. Seems that the sealant that BMW uses is pretty heavy duty

See the thing is though that I want to paint them myself. Ive done it before and its so easy. I dont see a reason to pay them 500$ to paint my housing and add angel eyes when I could do it myself for less than 100$

I see $299 plus $30 for painting the housing. Im going for it. Going to remove the bumper this weekend and send them out Monday. Full halos with black housing. Going to talk to eric too about maybe smoking the clear strip underneath as long as it will still allow an amber light and turn signal at night.

Yep, real easy. If you look in the angel eye thread there Is a diy on the 2nd page. This thread is right below this one.

Guys, Tekarbon is offering a fantastic deal for our headlights. I don't want to quote the price Eric gave me, but believe me, it is MUCH better than trying to bake these lights yourself. I've done it before on other cars, and talk about a massive PITA. The hot glue, the burnt hands, the MESS. Pop the dough and have a pro do it. It's the first thing to do on my list once I can be without the car for a week or so.
