installed rogue after having rogue cans for about 8 months. Only noticable difference is when i start up the cold and rev it, its all raspy and a couple of shifts later the rasp goes away.

Hmm so you didn't notice any real sound increase? I definitely am not looking to add any rasp that's for sure.

its not unbareable and I actually like it. Its like clearing your throat and it goes away. Sound difference is there but not night and day like going from stock to aftermarket cans. Its a 600 that can be spent elsewhere for a better mod.

I am toying with the idea of doing headers next. Just not brave enough to do it myself

I have headers installed and its really loud! Then again I only have the factory resonators in and no muffler. Like Shakib said before after it heats up it goes away and I have a drone up until 2600 but that will change soon. just a thought for ya

Here's an approximate scale, with 0 being a Prius driving by (think ninja) and 10 being a full-on no-limits racecar (straight pipes, or no pipes at all ).
Stock Z4M: 3 aftermarket mufflers only: +1.5 ; negligible whp increase aftermarket headers only: +1.5 ; up to 20rwhp and 5rwtq increase aftermarket section1 (s-pipe) only: +1 [assuming uncatted and unresonated] ; 5rwhp increase aftermarket section2 (x-pipe) only: +0.5 ; 5rwhp increase aftermarket intake only: +0.25 ; negligible whp increase My full setup with everything inclusive pulled off 106dBs on the track. Plenty loud x_X Last edited by mfanatic325; 10-07-2011 at 01:11 AM.. |
