Huz-Z,
Looks like you have some additional distribution material on the virtues of the 3.0!

When I saw that article on FB, I knew I had to share it with Huz-Z. We can't let him use the same article to over and over again.

Remember that BMW alarm you sold me a while back? I finally got it installed and programmed this summer. It works nicely on my car and seeems to chirp properly. Like the old song says, Chirpy Chirpy for Cheap Cheap LOL!! Thanks for selling me yours when it would not work on your car. Good gravy, with all this talk of Z4 reviews I managed to find another one at the same site: http://www.auto123.com/en/bmw/z4/200...01&artid=97704 This one talks about the generous boot. Its a timely find as my wife and I went to Costco on Sunday in the Z4 intending to only pick up two or three grocery items. When we decided to head for the check outs, the cart had an alarming amount of stuff in it. But amazingly, we managed to get everything aboard the trunk and be on our way, top down. Take that, E89!

^ After owning a E86 for 6 years as my only vehicle, I'm confident my vehicle loading skill is second to none.

I'm lucky enough to own both the N52 paired with 6MT and N55 with DCT.
The N55/DCT is great for daily driving. Plenty of torque where minimal shifting is required to make a pass. The DCT in sport mode holds the gears just right and the rev match downshifts are amazing. But it's something you admire but don't necessarily want for spirited driving. The rush begins with the boost kicking in but ends there. Again for daily driving and commuting it's awesome and I even plan to auto-x the car next season which should be great as the DCT & low torque will be very advantageous... But around the track, I much prefer the N52 with manual. The chasis is just so well balanced and the motor is reliable and predictable. The only downside is that it lacks top end speed. On some of the faster tracks my buddies will hit 134mph in their S65 but I usually stop at 127mph before I need to start getting on the brakes. I have no problem hanging with most cars in the turns but it's only on powering out where they put distance on me. One of my favorite track days where there was a good mix of cars, all of which were putting down more power than me: Last edited by 3002 tii; 09-02-2014 at 04:22 PM.. |

You think you'll be getting it? For daily driving and daily passing, my roadster is awesome. Getting the supercharger would be just for fun. Lots of it. :-)

Plus I know whatever time I'm leaving on the table -- 80% can be attributed to driver mod, the remaining 20% would be hp/suspension/tires. If I ever reach the point where I've covered that 80%, I'll then look into headers and slicks. |
