Z4 purchasing advice
I am looking for some pricing on advice on purchasing a used Z4. I previously owned an 05 3.0i which I loved but needed to sell for financial reasons 3 years ago. Now I am in good shape financially again and I'm looking to get another one.
So I have been looking at a used 03 3.0i that a dealership is selling. They are asking $15,990 for the car. I looked at the three pricing guides KBB, NADA and Edmunds which I realize are all just guides and have very different values for the car. I took each of there values for dealer retail based on options and mileage and averaged them to come up with a price of $13,157. I also did the same thing for the trade in value of the car and came up with a number of $10,699. So is the $13,157 a realistic number to shoot for this car? My thought was to start at? My thought was to start at $12,500 and max out at $13,500. So does my logic work or not? Thanks for the help, Werner |

Depends on condition, mileage, maintenance records, options, etc. But the logic seems to make sense. What it comes down to, ultimately, is what the market will bear. And buying in the Winter in WA state makes a convertible a tougher sell on their part. Good luck!
