Little brother, big sister (E86, F07)

Next to the M Coupe, the new [to me] 550 GT looks enormous.

I guess you could say I really like funky BMW hatchbacks.

How do you like the GT? Anything push you that way aside from aesthetics?

I like the GT. It's a really big car that, I'm told, actually shares a platform with the F01 and not the F10. I really like wagons, but there's no F10 touring available. The amount of space in the rear of the 5GT is great if you have kids. (and I expect that the 3GT will provide similar dimensions).

What really pushed me towards it is the fantastic depreciation that the GT's have experienced. The 2010 550 GT that I bought has adaptive suspension and lots of other goodies at a very reasonable price.

Wow, you're right. You can get a lot of car there for your coins.
Was looking at some on cars.com.
I have to see if I can scale the Wife down from Suburbans.
Was planning to buy her a new truck late summer, but I'd rather have the 550 GT in my driveway than an Expedition.

My goal was to locate a 535 GT, in order to get a more fuel-efficient car. However, this 550 GT had languished on the dealer lot and was ready to move.
