Eventuri Carbon Intake for BMW Z4M
Z4M Intake Pre-Order Opportunity Pre-Order Details We will have the first batch ready to ship from mid-Jan 2015. The kits will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Here are some details about the system we have developed: Intake Components We have developed a complete solution, addressing airflow efficiency, minimising engine bay heat soak and providing an effective cold air feed. Here is what you will get: Prepreg Carbon Fibre Evenuri Housing with high flow filter and aluminium intake cowling Laser cut Aluminium scoop with push fittings - no drilling required Laser Cut Heat Shield with Neoprene lining CNC machined Aluminium MAF tube with Acetal MAF boss Silicon Joiner with BMW specification clamps The result? Genuine performance gains with clear improvement in throttle response and driveability even at low rpms and with a glorious soundtrack to top off the enhanced driving experience. Front Air Scoop Performance We have measured between 10-15hp on the Z4M under controlled tests, ensuring consistently controlled temperatures. Although this in itself is a healthy gain, we would like to stress that dyno numbers alone cannot show you the improvement this kit makes in throttle response, which is significant and the improvement in driveability including low-mid range torque response. Oh - not to mention the sound! IAT testing stock air box vs Eventuri Intake These test were carried out back to back on the dyno. As you can see the Eventuri provided lower IAT's (Inlet Air Temperatures) than the stock air box throughout the dyno run. Video Component Pictures Reserve your System If would like to purchase one please contact us and we will arrange for a Paypal invoice to be sent to you. Once payment has been received you will be guaranteed an allocation from the next batch. PRICING: RRP : £600 inc VAT + shipping (Outside the EU : £500 + shipping). Got it. Question for anyone... where does the intake secure to the engine bay? Is it the bottom of the heatshield where the opening is?

I was hoping to see more than just 1 tab to eliminate any "wiggling" since the only other attachment point is at the plenum. I'm hoping the entire end-to-end tube doesn't oscillate enough to bounce into the hood or strut brace that I have.

I don't think I'll be getting one of these (primarily due to financial reasons and mod priorities) but I would just like to thank OP for developing a nice product for our cars.

Just thinking ahead. Does anyone know if we need to use any "special" cleaning kit for this? I was told this kit uses a Simota filter. Found some instruction from Simota website (http://www.simota.com/instruction.php) and it appeared to be somewhat of a strict process - even using something as simple as water is not allowed?
Initially, I was thinking of either rinsing it out with water as needed or use something like K&N Power Kleen Air Filter Cleaner, then rinse it out with water and let dry. Seeing Simota's website have me re-think this. Last edited by XMetal; 01-14-2015 at 09:55 PM.. |
