What tires are you guys with the ESS kits running?
Ive got the 525 and its tough to put the power down. Especially now that its getting colder. But spinning through 2nd gear?? Maybe I need to bite the bullet and get some PSS.

Try them and you'll be massively impressed, the world of budget slicks has REALLY made a a big hit over here, but you need 18s to be able to access this.

I have Hankook RS3's (255/275) on my ESS car and PSS (235/265) on my G-Power car. The PSS won't put the power down. Neither put the power down when it's cold or damp. The RS3's can sometimes handle first gear depending on the road surface and temperature.
At 500+ horsepower, you're beyond the max performance summer category and move into the extreme performance summer category.

I'm using Falken RT-615K and can only put the power down on good pavement, otherwise just remove DSC and burn the shit out of them till they heat up and grip well.
You can also try lowering the tyre pressure a tiny bit. |
