My headlight went out. The outside light on the drivers side...

I notice my indicator light came on meaning I had a bulb issue. I noticed my drivers side outer light was out. It flickers once in a while when I turn off and on. I want to check the wires first, then change the bulb. I read a DIY referring to a front corner bulb, but not sure if this is the same bulb. Can I reach from behind somewhere to pull out the bulb and change it? Also, this is probably a dumb question. When I move the switch to the "0" position the lights closer to the center come on just fine. Are these the regular headlights, but the outer ones are the HID lights? Can I drive at night with them in the mean time?
