Post O2s and egt turned off. Will it be a problem?

Im soon gonna be getting a set of euro headers for my z4mcoupe and was planning to get the ESS tune with the after cats O2 sensors and egt turned off. (planning to have them unplugged al together and stored away). Is this gonna cause any problems performance wise? Will I get a CEL/SES? Dont really want to get into the hassle of welding bungs into the S pipe for the post cat O2s and egt. Still gonna run the stock S pipe with their cats just to keep things green. But since I live in Panama we dont have any type of emission test whatsoever. For my understanding post cats O2s and egt are only for emission purpose and monitoring the cats perfomace right?

You'll likely have issues with at least a check engine light, car may also run rough

ESS doesn't recommend running with no sensors connected

The rear sensors should NOT affect performance, but if something is wrong with the engine, they're a backup failsafe to shut the engine down to save it

Cut off the egt bung from your old headers, grab these adapters, and pay an exhaust shop to weld it in. Should NOT be expensive

Seems to be the only way around it, talk to ESS and said we need to have egt and secondary O2īs connected, otherwise will get CEL. Im just not so confident about this mod since some users are still getting CEL even with the egt and secondary O2s relocated at the "S" pipe. Guess Ill just give it a try and see if im part of the lucky half thats not get a CEL. If i do ill just get an ESS tune with the secondary O2s "shut down".

Whats the reason for relocating the egt to the "S" pipe? Cant I just weld it into the Euro Headers as in the US catted ones?

read up on the sensor placement here

http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=519048

you're putting it BEHIND the section one cats for a reason, because... well... they need to be reading the ratios from behind the cats (since the euro headers have no cats, they go behind the secondary cats in the system)

I understand the relocation of the secondary O2s behind the catts of section 1. But reading through your thread link, "Jumbosock" made a comment about putting the egt bung in the Euro Headers (As in the same position of our US Headers) to avoid "EGT plausibility code" (2C93).

Has anyone besides Jumbosock installed their EGT into Euro headers instead of te section 1 pipe?
