Z4 to Z4M
I sold my 2003 Z4 2.5 and bought my first "M" a 2008 Z4M with 61,000 miles.

WoW What a Upgrade from a 2.5 Z to a ///M Z. Must be extremely different feeling in everything. Also love the color combo. Hope you take very good care of your new M!

It's a world of difference. The Z4 2.5 was moderate on power and I felt that it moved out ok. The Z4M is a monster above 5,000 rpm. That is where the car shines and you can really feel it pull stronger as the rpm's increase. Handling wise I haven't pushed it too hard in the corners yet. The suspension is definitely stiffer and the steering is much better than the oversensitive electric that was on the old Z4 It had been the previous owners daily driver so it needed a lot of TLC. Now it is a sunny day car and parked in winter. I have sent the oil to blackstone for analysis and am waiting for that to come back. The car had been well taken care of engine wise with records for valve adjustment, liquid moly oil changes (a little to long in my book, 10,000miles), battery replacement and spark plugs. I hit it with my claybar, lexol on the seats replaced the shift knob with a ZHP and put in my aluminum shift petals

I bought some dupli color caliper paint and painted the calipers today. Went very well. I polished up the anti-rattle clips while I had it apart.

Congrats on the Z4M!!! I've been agonizing for the past few years on whether or not I should sell my Z and get a Z4M. I waited long enough to the point I could buy an M3 and keep my Z4 3.0si. I still wish I had a Z4M. The M3 is powerful but the Z4 is so nimble. Enjoy!!!

I love the interior contrast to the exterior! I have a 2.5i E85 roadster, recently made a driving video of it on YouTube if any of you fellow Z4 owners would like to check it out?
