Unless I am out early Sunday morning for some spirited driving I just leave it on for daily driving. There are many unforeseen factors that can arrise, it can save your bacon in an accident avoidance situation.

I am almost always DSC off as well. Unless there is snow on the ground.

But then again I have the slight advantage of not having an M.

I would have to say that the advatage would go to the M. The DSC is far less intrusive on the M's. It kicks in right before the edge of adhesion. If I had a non-M I think the DSC would be more frustrating as it kicks in at a lower threshold.

The thing is the non-Ms have no LSD so the DSC just kills off the power to the rear wheels in a tight turn as the inside rear unweights. Of course, just lighting up the inside rear doesn't necessarily do a whole lot of good either...

I also undertood (from the speed channel review of the new M3) that DSC will also apply the brakes, not just cut the power. So while DSC can save your ass, it can also slow you down considerably for instance if you are doing timed runs through cones.
